WINTER! This winter on the southern coast we got SNOW. Like a full inch of it! It stuck around for the afternoon here in Yesou, but pretty much melted entirely within a few hours but it was pretty exciting to see large, fluffy snowflakes falling from the sky throughout the morning and afternoon. Looking around at nearby cities, we discovered that most of the snow just an hour north of us was sticking around, so Ryan and I packed up and met our good friend, Sam from There She Goes Again in Namwon.

Sam lived in Namwon for two years before changing jobs and moving a bit more south. She knew this perfect park where we could all have a snow day together and, hey, why not add in a snowy photoshoot to boot? We crawled out of bed at 6 am and managed to get to the park before anyone else and had the whole place to ourselves! Namwon is the perfect place to check out in the winter if you live in the southern regions and don’t have time to drive far to see the snow. Be sure to check out Sam’s blog for more about life around Korea, travel tips, and more! If you want more ideas for things to see and do in South Korea during the wintertime, be sure to check out our list here!

There’s also lots of exciting new changes happening over here, and I promise we will share what we are up to soon. In the meantime, check out these wintery shots and let me know what you think!

Enjoy!
