Fall break is over and we are starting the slow process of sorting through all of our pictures and video from our recent Chuseok road trip. Last week, we headed out of Yeosu at four o’clock in the morning in order to beat the insane traffic that comes during nearly every Korean holiday. Our plan was to head north to Chungcheongbukdo province and find a quiet camping spot along the river. Though we spent a good portion of our time relaxing without any technology or cell signal, we did manage to peel ourselves away from our guerrilla campsite enough to explore some of the outskirts of the two national parks nearby.
So, while we continue to sort through photos and write more about our time, please enjoy a few shots of our time spent in the rural countryside of Chungcheongbukdo province.

That first picture, around what area was that taken? It looks like a great place to set up the tent and relax for a night or two. I like the giant expressway in the background!
It was a really great place to camp, although merely a local river with some fishermen.
I can’t be 100% certain of the location since we drove for a long while using satellite view on our phones looking for a suitable space, but this might be the spot. Looks the exact same and I’m pretty sure, but can’t say definitively.
