We’re finished and we’re back! Our long project is complete, so Stephanie and I are excited to announce our return! After leaving South Korea we were determined to explore our home country and take a break from the “rigors” of our 20 hr/wk teaching jobs and enjoy funemployment! With such a large country ahead of us, we decided that the best method for exploring the United States of America was in a bus named “Onward.”

One of the things I missed the most while teaching for 5 years in Korea was working with my hands. Our bus project promised to give me ample opportunities to use tools and build things, but we didn’t think our newly determined project would take a full 5 weeks of work! All of that time, with a generous amount of help from family, resulted in our beautiful Ford E350 shuttle bus being born into the world as an adventure vehicle. Call it a “Skoolie,” a “bus conversion,” or an RV; we don’t care. It’s ours, we built it with our own two hands, and we love it!

All of this work made very little time for communication, blogging, or anything that falls under the “fun” category, but now we’re done, and we’re ready to share our upcoming adventures. We’re currently in the first week of our road trip and still ironing out the kinks in our routine, but we’re very excited to be back behind our laptops to let everyone know where we’ve been during this long stretch of silence. We were busy building this glorious, blue bus named “Onward.”

Stay tuned, as we’re still on the road and will be sharing our adventures like we used to, but in a drastically different part of the world that we’re thrilled to be be exploring, largely for the first time. As always, thank you for your patience, continued loyalty/support, and for tuning into our life of adventure.

“Life is a series of experiences, each one of which makes us bigger, even though sometimes it is hard to realize this. For the world was built to develop character, and we must learn that the setbacks and grieves which we endure help us in our marching onward.” -Henry Ford
