As you may know, I have been starting my own business as a  portrait photographer and recently, I had the pleasure of doing an engagement shoot for some friends of ours, Brendon and Yejin in Suncheon, South Korea.

This is my third engagement shoot I have done. My first shoot was with Kayley and Mark in Changwon where they posed in their favorite spots around town and the second was with Zach and Lauren in a cedar grove here in Yeosu (I hope to upload that shoot to the blog soon!).

Thanks to some previous collaborations with Sam from, There She Goes Again and Roxy from CGSCreative, I have started to turn to more stylized shoots. The idea of these stylized photo shoots is to carefully work together to plan the aesthetics, color palette, and mood.

I met these lovely women online over two years ago and then in real life as I worked with them on two photo shoots in Buan, South Korea. Roxy was the photographer, Sam was the stylist, and I was the model. A lot has changed since then and I have decided that my passion lies behind the camera shooting my own portraits.

I was so excited for this shoot as Yejin and Brendon decided to rent matching Korean traditional clothes, hanbok, and pose amongst the freshly bloomed cherry blossoms as well as at a traditional tea house in Suncheon. The setting was perfect and so inspiring that Sam and I immediately got to work brainstorming ideas together. Part of my creative portrait package includes a custom Pinterest style board to help you visualize what your photo shoot will look like. The warmer hues of the photos make this shoot feel vintage and you can imagine these two as if they are actual royalty from a long time ago enjoying an early morning walk in the garden and a mid morning tea break.

I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below on how the photos turned out! We are leaving Korea soon, so unfortunately, I am no longer available for booking here, but I will be starting up again in May once we have settled down a bit after our move!

Enjoy!

Stephanie
